About the Practice
Twenty-one years helping people find their way back to themselves.
I'm Seth Jenkins, LPC, LISAC, a licensed counselor with 21 years in the field. I work with adults on self-esteem, co-dependency and people-pleasing, and grief, by secure video across Arizona, South Dakota, and Michigan. Direct, goal-directed, and LGBTQ+ affirming.
What I Focus On
The work I do most, in plain terms.
You've Never Felt Good Enough
You can't always say why, but you've never quite believed you're enough, in your abilities or your worth as a person. It shows up as second-guessing, over-apologizing, and letting other people set the terms. We work on where that started and how to loosen its grip.
You Lose Yourself in Relationships
You've spent years managing everyone else's feelings and lost track of your own, and saying no feels impossible. Sometimes it traces back to a controlling or difficult relationship, a partner or a parent, that left you doubting your own judgment. We work on boundaries and on putting yourself back in the picture.
Grief & a Life That Changed
A death, a divorce, an ending that reshaped your life. Not a crisis. A loss that takes more than time to move through.
Seth also holds the LISAC, a substance-abuse license most therapists don't hold. If addiction is part of your story or a loved one's, it belongs here too.
My Approach
Who you work with matters more than the method.
I've been in the field since 2005. Over 21 years, across a wide range of people and problems, I kept getting pulled back to the same core work: self-esteem and co-dependency, the loss of self that comes from living for everyone else, and the low sense of worth underneath it. That is where I do my best work, and where I want to spend most of my time.
I'm direct and goal-directed. Sessions here aren't for venting without a thread. We name something specific to work on, track whether it's moving, and change course when it isn't. Some people work with me for a few months, others for a year or more, depending on what they came for.
The specific tools vary by person. I draw on EMDR, somatic and trauma-focused work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered and solution-focused approaches, and I match the method to who you are rather than the other way around.
I also hold the LISAC, a substance-abuse license most therapists don't hold. It means I can work with addiction directly, and with the people worn down by a loved one's, though it is no longer the front of my practice. My work is LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and kink-allied.

Getting Started
Three steps from here to your first session.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
We talk. You ask what you need to ask. I tell you whether I'm the right fit for what you're dealing with. No obligation, no intake forms before we've spoken.
Schedule Your First Session
If it's a good fit, we book through Alma. Insurance verification happens here. Sessions are $125, often partially or fully covered depending on your plan.
Real Progress. Not Open-Ended.
We work toward something specific. Progress should be visible within the first few sessions. If it isn't, we talk about why. Some people work with me for a few months, others for a year or more, depending on what they came for.

Your insurance may cover this.
