About the Practice
Twenty-one years helping people find their way back to themselves.
I'm Seth Jenkins, LPC, a licensed counselor with 21 years in the field. I work with adults on self-esteem, codependency and people-pleasing, and grief, by secure video across Arizona, Michigan, and South Dakota. Direct, goal-directed, and LGBTQ+ affirming.
What I Focus On
The work I do most, in plain terms.
You've Never Felt Good Enough
You can't always say why, but you've never quite believed you're good enough, in your abilities or your worth. Ask what your strengths are and the honest answer is "I don't know," or every strength gets argued back into a weakness. It shows up as second-guessing, over-apologizing, and letting other people set the terms. We work on where that started, and on the possibility that you are worthy of the praise you deflect.
You Lose Yourself in Relationships
You've spent years managing everyone else's feelings and lost track of your own, and saying no feels impossible. Sometimes it traces back to a controlling or difficult relationship, a partner or a parent, that left you doubting your own judgment. We work on boundaries and on putting yourself back in the picture.
Grief & a Life That Changed
A death, a divorce, an ending that reshaped your life. Grief isn't something you move on from. It gets woven into your life, and we work on healthy ways to carry it and to keep what mattered alive in you.
Addiction work sits inside Seth's counseling license in every state he practices in. He also holds the LIAC (Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor) credential in Arizona, which marks it as a particular specialty. If addiction is part of your story or a loved one's, it belongs here too.
My Approach
Who you work with matters more than the method.
I've been in the field since 2005. Over 21 years, across a wide range of people and problems, I kept getting pulled back to the same core work: self-esteem and codependency, the loss of self that comes from living for everyone else, and the low sense of worth underneath it. That is where I do my best work, and where I want to spend most of my time.
The way I work rests on one belief: you are the expert on yourself. You will never hear me say I know you better than you know yourself. My job is to be a mirror, to help you see the parts that are hard to look at, and to draw out strengths you may be overlooking. I am a guide more than an instructor, and the work is a collaboration, not one person handing tools to another.
I'm direct and goal-directed. Alongside the deeper work of understanding where something began, we stay focused on practical solutions in the here and now. Together we set goals and small tasks to try between sessions, tailored to you. We work toward something specific and track whether it's moving, always with an end in sight.
The specific tools vary by person. I match the method to who you are rather than the other way around, drawing on all my training and experience, which includes somatic and trauma-focused work, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, and solution-focused approaches.
Addiction work sits inside my counseling license, so it is fully part of what we can do together. I also hold the LIAC (Licensed Independent Addiction Counselor) credential in Arizona, which marks it as a particular specialty of mine, and one I have a significant amount of experience with. I can work with addiction directly, with anyone struggling with any form of addictive behavior. That includes substances, and it can include other behaviors too. And if you have lived with someone who struggles this way, I am eager to help you as well. My work is LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and kink-allied.

Getting Started
Three steps from here to your first session.
Free 15-Minute Consultation
We talk. You ask what you need to ask. I tell you whether I'm the right fit for what you're dealing with. No obligation, no intake forms before we've spoken.
Schedule Your First Session
If it's a good fit, we get you scheduled and sort out insurance.
Real Progress. Not Open-Ended.
We work toward something specific and check whether it's moving. If it isn't, we talk about why. Some people work with me for a few months, others for a year or more, depending on what they came for.
Insurance & Fees
Your insurance may cover this.
In-network with three major insurers in Arizona. If you have one of these, your out-of-pocket cost is likely lower than the self-pay rate.
Out-of-pocket rate: $125/session. Free 15-minute consultation before committing to anything.
